American movie 'The Boss Baby' takes over top spot at the US box office with speculations going around similarities between the protagonist of the animation and the US President Donald Trump.
Striking resemblance between antics of the animation’s protagonist and that of President Donald Trump has surprised the DreamWorks production audience as many are drawing parallels.
The film narrates the story of a suit-clad baby dubbed by Alec Baldwin who has gained a huge popularity for impersonating Trump on a live show.
Director of the animation, Tom McGrath, told the media about the comparisons that “a lot of people think these movies could have been made in the last three months and they go, 'Was this based off Trump?' And to me, I think it’s actually great. Alec is a hardworking guy, and he’s very funny, and it’s no surprise that he can do Trump. He always came in and gave us his De Niro or Chris Walken, all these characters that he’d transform into, and so it’s no surprise - of course he can do Trump. “
A Fox distribution chief reacted to the first spot success of ‘The Boss Baby’ which is DreamWorks Animation release from 20th Century Fox, saying that "we expected a decent opening. We didn't expect to be number one."
According to latest reports, while Disney's powerhouse 'Beauty and the Beast'' might hit records at box-offices, 'The Boss Baby' became number one in domestic receipts.
